How to interpret these results
The sample includes completed Premier League matches with both full-time scores available. Scheduled matches and missing scores are excluded. Each match counts once, and a draw is counted separately from a home or away win. The current season may be incomplete.
The home win rate describes this sample. It does not isolate the effect of the venue from differences in team strength, schedule or other factors. It also does not show whether a home team offers value at a bookmaker's price; that comparison requires pre-match odds.
The confidence interval in the evidence section is an approximate 95% interval for the home win share. It describes sampling uncertainty, and is not a prediction interval for the next match.
